CONTEXT
PROBLEM
Because of the dangerous location, hard accessibility and possible automatic starts of the system, there is poor follow-up of the lubrication of the rolling pulleys. On top the lubrication of the cable on reel is performed with a spray. Multiple cable derailments due to lack of lubrication are the result.
SOLUTION
With the installation of multiple MEMOLUB ONE automatic Lubricators on the rolling pulleys we tackled the hard accessibility. With a remote installation at 2m from the lubrication point, maintenance crews can replace the cartridge in safe conditions. On top, they only need to pass by once a year to replace the cartridge.
RESULTS
- Autonomous lubrication provides adapted lubrication, in a safe and secure way.
- No more cable derailments where observed.
